Igor Snitkin

Bio:

My name is Igor Snitkin (rhymes with Eager Sneak King), I was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. Despite getting master's degree in mechanical engineering I worked most of my life in the music industry. I started as a stage manager, then I was a DJ and producer, talent manager, booking agent and finally label manager. Almost every possible option you can think of in music business. My dream of getting into coding started probably in the late 90s after I watched movie 'Hackers', but I was more like a hobby for me, I was doing simple websites for my agency and my artists with a very little JavaScript and then I started learning JS online at treehouse and code academy and it was more like back-and-forth process between my job and learning. After a while, I suddenly began to understand how JS works and tried React and it appeared to be quite easy for me and I realized that it's probably a time for my childhood dream about coding to come true.

Fun facts:

• I travelled more than 80 countries in less than 2 years between 2013 and 2015 including 4 loops around the globe.
• I started using Javascript by calculating numbers and dates in browsers console.
• In 1999 I found tutorial how to make ICQ Nuker and so I did one in C for nuking my friends.
• On a very serious notion, I want to build new Internet.
